2009 Adventure - 2 Man RAAM

We have successfully completed Race Across America! We won 1st place in the 2 man division, unfortunately we did not break the record... maybe next time! Read all about it in our Press Release.

We will have our fundraising totals as soon as they are available. Basically we raised enough money through this race to pay for the next 2 Extreme Weekend for Children Diabetes Camps and give a sizable donation to Kupenda For the Children!

Extreme Weekend For Children With Diabetes

A camp for children with diabetes.
To be held at NorthBay, in North East, MD.
The camp will be held in the spring and fall every year.

The Extreme Weekend for Children with diabetes is for ages 12-18 coed. This unique weekend adventure will be all about team building skills, fitness, glucose utilization during exercise, sharing stories, ideas and much more.

Patapsco State Park in Elkridge, MD
We sold all 100 race slots! and we raised $3,000!

AFC Mission Statement

Adventures For The Cure is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization and USA Cycling Club that exists to raise awareness for Diabetes, to show those diagnosed with Diabetes and their families how leading a healthy and active lifestyle can move you beyond your perceived limits, and to raise funds for Diabetes research. The organization also raises awareness and funds for other causes that the board of directors has selected. In the past we have raised funds for the following organizations:

The organization has also set out to inspire others to live healthy lifestyles and to adventure beyond their perceived limits, because ANYTH!NG Is Possible
